Please join us for our first spring Rounding Retreat at the beautiful Ratna Ling Retreat Center in coastal Sonoma county.

Whether you're an advanced meditator or brand new to meditation, we have a program created for you.

During our four days together we will share Vedic knowledge and techniques that will expand your consciousness and empower you to live with greater health and happiness.

You'll learn and practice ‘industrial-strength’ meditation called Rounding. If you've learned Rounding before, we will refine your technique to enhance your experience and its benefits.

Healthy, delicious vegetarian cuisine will be prepared for you each day. You'll get to enjoy walks in nature amongst the redwood groves.

We are also offering an Introductory Course in Vedic Meditation for anyone ready to learn Vedic meditation for the first time. This is a great opportunity and environment to begin this powerful practice.

Please review all the retreat details below and sign up today. Space is limited.

With gratitude,

Hunter Cressman + Yashoda Devi Ma

I really enjoyed diving deep into Vedic meditation for the first time on the retreat after being inspired by my friends who practice it.

I loved the group dynamic, learning from peers, connecting with others and being in nature. The food was incredible, the ranch was beautiful and the people spectacular.

Both Hunter and Yashoda embody light, connection, and groundedness. I knew I wanted whatever they were having!

Since the retreat, I feel energized when I start my day with meditation and I feel more grounded and energized when I pause to meditate in the afternoon.

What is Rounding?

Rounding is a systematic procedure derived from the ancient Veda* that's designed to purify the mind and body at the deepest level. This process consists of a specific sequence of easy yoga poses (asanas), balancing breath technique (pranayama), meditation, and horizontal rest.

The simplicity and effortless nature of the technique produces powerful results. Performing the proper progression with the correct intention allows deep-rooted stresses to release and brings the nervous system back into balance.

Effortless purification of the mind and body through Rounding can bring you to a greater state of happiness, clarity and peace more quickly. Practicing multiple Rounds on this retreat weekend is equivalent to 3-6 months of meditation.

It's easy to learn Rounding regardless of your physical fitness. Custom modifications are available for those with physical limitations. You’ll learn how to incorporate this advanced practice into your daily life at home for continued benefit.

I joined the retreat to advance my meditation practice with Rounding and gain more knowledge to live a more peaceful, graceful life.

I really enjoyed the simplicity, depth and authenticity of Vedic meditation and Vedic knowledge. The intimate group size was ideal, the hot mineral pools were wonderful to soak in and Ayurvedic food was amazing. Hunter and Yashoda make a great team. They are both wonderful people with incredible insight. I will definitely join a retreat with them again.

Since the retreat I feel elevated and uplifted with a greater sense of equanimity. It’s become much easier not to be reactive in challenging situations.

*What is the Veda?

The Veda is the ancient record of spiritual experiences and the source of the arts and sciences of meditation, yoga, Ayurvedic medicine and Eastern philosophy. It is a multi-faceted body of knowledge that contains many universal applications relevant to modern living. This complete system of knowledge is made available to compliment your meditation practice and support the expansion of inner fulfillment.

Yashoda and Hunter are both extremely knowledgeable and serene to be around. They created a warm atmosphere and their recommendations allow us retreaters to have choices, which gave me space to grow into my independence.
— Margaret, student

What time does the retreat start and end?

The retreat starts at 3:00pm on Friday, March 20, 2020 and ends at 11:30am on Monday, March 23, 2020. Please plan to arrive and depart on time. If you need to make arrangements to arrive late or leave early, please let us know well in advance.

When should I plan to arrive in California?

If you are flying in from out of town, we recommend adding a day or two to your trip before and/or after the retreat. This gives you time to enjoy and explore the beautiful counties of Sonoma and Marin. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Which airport is closest to the retreat center?

San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the nearest major airport. It’s a 3 hour drive to Ratna Ling Retreat Center from SFO. The smaller Sonoma County Airport (STS) is the closest airport with a drive of only 1 1/2 hours to Ratna Ling. Please book your flight to arrive in the morning before 10:30am on Friday, March 20th. This will give you enough time to get to the retreat center and avoid afternoon rush hour traffic.

What if I want to meditate, but my friend/spouse/partner does not want to?

This is a meditation retreat, so while there will be free time to enjoy the location, we strongly encourage everyone to participate in the retreat. We will be offering classes for new meditators as well, so everyone is welcome!

What if I am learning Vedic Meditation for the first time?

If you are learning Vedic Meditation for the first time, please add $500 to your package total. The Introductory Course in Vedic Meditation is an additional offering and prerequisite for learning Rounding. Rounding instruction is included for everyone, so you will get to learn this advanced practice too, and your retreat program will be customized accordingly.

What should I expect at Ratna Ling?

The March spring weather at Ratna Ling can be cool and wet. There’s an equal chance of rain or shine. Warm, cozy clothing and rain jackets are recommended. The retreat center is off-grid so there is no mobile phone service. Please plan to disconnect from work and technology during the entire retreat. The cottages are situated throughout the hillside with paved pathways, so please bring good walking shoes that are waterproof in case it rains.
